We are very grateful to have been able to work with Pamela! Her color choices work wonderfully with the ocean views and the existing furniture. Her window treatment and furniture staging ideas are easy to implement and take into account the financial constraints and tastes of a multi-generational family. She is not only very skilled at interior design and has a great deal of experience, she is also lovely to work with! She listens well, is very flexible and is generous with her time. Her ideas will help us enjoy our home that much more!
My wife and I found Pamela to be an exceptionally professional, no-nonsense interior designer. She
listens and communicates very well. She took our desires and tastes into consideration and gave us
many ideas that are within our budget. Pamela has good instincts and she speaks her mind. We found her approach to be quite refreshing.
She has an excellent feel for style, fabric and color, and how to artfully blend all these together. She didn’t tell us what we wanted to hear; she told us what we needed to hear. She opened our eyes to several helpful design ideas.
We both felt we got much more than we expected with Pam and we look forward to continuing to
work with her on our home upgrades.
To assess our needs for an update in our kitchen, i.e. new cabinet color to suit the
surroundings, cabinetry knobs, under cabinet lighting and window treatment updates.
Pamela is professional and knowledgeable. She is easy to work with and has wonderful ideas.
It didn't take her much time to assess the areas and make recommendations on décor and furniture placement.
She has a pleasant and warm personality and a wonderful eye for color.
It was a pleasure working with her and I will reach out to her again for future projects and ideas.
Pamela made fantastic suggestions and recommendations for updating my living space. She paid attention to detail and was helpful by explaining the reasoning behind her thoughts and ideas. Pamela walked through all the concerns and considerations with any changes that were suggested. She brought color suggestions to help visualize.
Pamela provided a design consultation in my home along with a written report and
recommendations.
It is an absolute dream to work with Pamela. If you know what look you're going for, Pamela will help you implement it and, if you don't, she will efficiently and expertly help you figure it out! She is a high energy designer with an innate sense of color and a gift for perceiving your sense of style and tolerance for adventure! Pamela will do her best to keep your expectations about cost and timelines realistic and, at the same time, she keeps things moving along at a nice pace. Our rooms are not yet finished, but are well underway and I am very looking forward to the final picture.
Pamela provided expert advice about decorating our new home, including furniture arrangement, wall colors, and hanging art work.
We were able to meet with Pam within days of requesting a meeting. She was very flexible with our schedule and met on a Sunday morning. We needed help choosing new paint colors for an entire house. Pam was able to assist us with this and more. Everything that we had hoped to accomplish was done during our meeting. Then by that evening I had a report outlining all of our choices and a few to-dos. I'm already looking forward to working with Pam on a few other design choices. She is a talented and easy to work with designer that I would absolutely recommend.
First, of all, Pamela was an absolute delight to work with....professional, incredibly knowledgeable, fair, discussed everything beforehand with me and was more than willing to make adjustments needed. What stands out in my mind was the easy (and frequent) communication between us. Second, Pamela is truly an "expert" in her field. A few examples: I had one small kitchen window looking over my backyard and the contractor was going to keep the same size window, but put in a window box. Pamela said your backyard is lovely and you should see it, so why not put in three windows which would also allow much more light. Great idea! Another example: I have a very small den off the kitchen and it had three small windows, which the contractor had suggested replacing with one large picture window. Pamela said the three small windows that you have perfectly fit in this small room and if you put in one large window, you would be looking at your neighbor's old shed! She suggested keeping the windows and with the money saved to buy a beautiful French door for the den leading out to the backyard. What a difference! I had the upstairs bathroom completely gutted by a different contractor. Once he met Pamela, going forward, he discussed everything with her and commented to me how fortunate I was to have found her. I absolutely love my bathroom and so many of my friends have raved about it. I could go on and on, but I'm sure you get the picture.
We highly recommend Pamela Lloyd-Baker. The "2 Hours of Interior Design or Home Staging Consultation" special was exactly as advertised and just what we needed. We look forward to working with Pamela again in the future.
Pamela was wonderful. I purchased the 90 minute consultation which also included a written report. I was amazed as to how much we were able to accomplish in the time allotted. Pamela has a great eye, much experience and it was so easy to convey and define my style preference with her. I highly recommend Pamela!
We were looking to redesign the interior of our Victorian Style Beach House to give it a more elegant look and comfortable feel. While searching for an interior designer, I came across the website for Beautiful Spaces by Pamela Lloyd-Baker and immediately fell in love with her style and use of color. Considering that we only use the house during the summer months and holidays and we are also considering renting the house, we challenged Pamela to give us that beautiful elegant look with the durability to stand up to renters within a reasonable budget. We have been working with Pamela for two months and she is a joy with an infectious passion for life that clearly shines through in her work. Her eye for color and design layout, combined with a natural artistic talent is quite evident at every step of the process. Pamela's expertise, passion and focus have made this experience fun, efficient and easier than we ever expected. Pamela presented us a vast variety of wonderful colors and style choices for each part of the design to
ensure that our preferences would be incorporated and fit nicely with the historic attributes of our unique home. Thus far we have ordered the furniture, fabrics, rugs, lighting fixtures and art work and have changed the paint color of the walls. While we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the final design, we could not be happier with the design process and friendship we have forged with Pamela!
Pamela Lloyd-Baker is an outstanding professional. She came at the agreed upon time and has the most charming demeanor. She listened to me and asked appropriate questions. She had wonderful suggestions for me and tried to incorporate my ideas along with her ideas. I would wholeheartedly recommend her for any interior decoration job, large or small.
Pamela helped me solve a tricky decorating problem - how to arrange furniture in a large space with multiple focal points. She helped me identify the dominant focal point and gave me a plan for furniture layout to better utilize the space. She also had some excellent ideas for lighting, window treatments, and where to buy furniture on a budget. She was delightful to work with and had lots of ideas and resources to recommend. I would use her again. I felt she really knows design and how to work with people.
During the initial consultation, Pamela listens to your ideas and then works within your budget to create the most beautiful, comfortable spaces that exceed your expectations! Pamela is extremely creative and helps in steering you in the right design direction. She provides plans, samples, colors after listening to what your needs are and is sensitive to your taste and budget. She is easy to get in touch with by phone or e-mail. Pamela is professional, warm, courteous and goes out of her way to make the design experience fun and easy.
My total experience with Pamela was extremely satisfying. The many projects that Pam did went perfectly. Her time frame was accurate and her choices were right on. Thank you again Pam!
The process went very smoothly and very quickly. Pam was able to place the art the right room and with appropriate other art work. She also knows how to organize groups of art. I was surprised that she was able to locate all of the 60 or so pictures in less than two hours. I wish we had her help years ago. We would have enjoyed the house so much more!
We were looking for ideas to update/upgrade four rooms in our home. We were interested in converting our living room to a library/reading room, as well as updating our family room master bedroom/bathroom and entrance hall.
Pamela has a very pleasing personality, very knowledgeable in her field of interior design, straight to point without a lot of excess, unimportant verbiage. Pamela takes into consideration what is already in the house and works with the situation very well and made my husband and I feel very comfortable with the process. I look forward to a continued professional relationship with Pamela.
Pamela Lloyd-Baker did an outstanding job updating my living room, dining room and family room. She worked with me in the selection of furniture, fabrics, drapery treatment and accessories. Her many years of experience in the design field have provided her with the knowledge and ability to create the perfect setting. She did an incredible job and exhibited
true professionalism throughout the entire project. I had seen Ms. Baker's work in a friend's home where she worked closely with the builder to incorporate her expertise in placement of windows, electric outlets, closet and kitchen design to meet her client's needs. The result was that my
friend had absolutely no issues when her home was completed. Once Ms. Baker had finished decorating her home the minute you walked into it there was a feeling of comfort - yet understated elegance done in a very tasteful manner. I wanted to move in immediately - unfortunately, it was not my home. So I enlisted Ms. Baker to assist me with my project.
Ms. Baker worked closely with me to make sure that the budget she was working with was closely monitored. She went out of her way to provide me with a lovely selection of fabrics, furniture choices and whatever was necessary to create the desired effect that I was looking for in my home. There was never any issue with her accountability. I would not hesitate to recommend Ms. Baker for any aspect of design work that you might be considering. She is an extraordinarily talented and gifted interior designer. The client's needs are foremost in her mind and her honesty
is impeccable. She is a true leader in the field of interior design.
Pamela came to our under construction home & was able to give us great ideas for making some changes. She assesses what needs to be done & communicates practical ideas that make a difference. My builder was also impressed.|We will definitely use her services again, & would highly recommend her.
Pamela's ideas were fabulous. She helped us think outside of the box with the furniture layout and design of our new summer home. I couldn't be happier with our consultation and will recommend her highly to all. We will be using her in the future, I'm sure!
Pamela came to my home and we spent a couple hours discussing my objectives and style preferences for redecorating several rooms. She was intuitive in understanding my specific tastes and what I wanted to achieve. She followed up quickly with a detailed written assessment and recommendations. I was pleased with her working style, follow up, and professionalism and so we engaged in a further working relationship. To date, she has been very helpful in guiding me and suggesting solutions for window treatments in the living room and dining room which have since been installed. We collaborated on a basic furniture layout for a very small living area and its challenges. She worked with me on a sofa style and helped me select a fabric that would blend well with the decor. I desired two leather sitting chairs and she provided good advice and options given the space constraints in the room. She also provided an excellent catalog of nautical art to browse through and I immediately liked the one she suggested for one of the walls which would be over a console table. Pamela also found the console table for me. She offered to get the art piece framed and matted for me, and I couldn't be happier with her choice. I also sent her a web link displaying several styles of buffet lamps for the console table and she quickly responded with her favorites which matched a couple of my favorites. I ordered two of them on line and they look great on the table with the art work above. In summary, I am very pleased with Pamela's energy and follow up. Her sense of style, color, and texture as well as her portfolio of resources has helped me immensely in navigating through this process.
I have known Pamela Lloyd-Baker for a period of 15 years. I have happily availed myself of her decorating services in two different locations during the course of that time. I was so pleased with her helpful and creative ideas in the planning and remodeling of the kitchen of our Brewster Cape Cod home that I sought her out when we moved to a second home in another town.
The first and foremost commendable trait is her ability to look at a room and instinctively size it up as far as design elements are concerned. I was so grateful for her suggestions for the first house that I fully trusted her taste and judgment for the second and was not disappointed.
Secondly, Pamela is most attentive to detail. She could be counted on to keep her word on every business dealing that we had. She always ferreted out information for me and called me with it in a timely fashion. She attended to every detail in ordering fabric, carpet, furniture, window treatments etc. and always called to explain a delay if such was the case. She kept on top of everything.
Thirdly Pamela listened to me and did not try to force her own taste on me. I feel that my new home reflects me ..... my lifestyle and possessions, rather than be a show case for her ideas only. She guided me, very tactfully and respectfully, to make choices that were in keeping with my practical needs but with good taste. When she saw a drapery installation needed correction, she took care of the problem by having the sewing company re-do the sewing of the drapery, Her attention to detail pleased me because she had my satisfaction uppermost in her mind and did not hesitate to go 'to bat' for me.
All in all, I would highly recommend Pamela as a trustworthy, fair, sensible, businesslike, dependable, conscientious, highly creative woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a joy to work with. Also I still look forward to more of her wonderfully helpful ideas because I am not through yet!!!
Pamela was very personable, friendly, and easy to work with. She was very knowledgeable and provided excellent advice. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Pamela and very highly recommend her. We plan to continue working with Pamela as we complete the process of decorating our home.
Pamela quickly achieved a detailed written assessment, with recommendations. I was pleased with her working style, follow up, and professionalism and so we engaged in a further working relationship. To date, she has been very helpful in guiding me and suggesting solutions for window treatments in the living room and dining room which have since been installed. I have repeatedly used the services of Beautiful Spaces for several of my homes. Pam is an expert in coordinating paint colors, fabrics and furniture styles. She listens to my ideas and then wonderously improves on them. I purchased a summer home that needed a total renovation. I left for FL and entrusted the project to her. She kept in touch with me regularly by sending fabric samples and photos of cabinet selections, paint colors etc. Her selections were just perfect. When I returned to the Cape months later all was done to perfection.
She has also helped me long distance with some changes to my FL home. She not only is an expert in her field but also has a wonderful personality and is a pleasure to work with. I would use no one else.
Pam oversaw all construction that took place. New bathrooms, renovated basement and all furnishings.
I left Pamela to stage my new home, rethink paint for the walls, hang art work and provide window drapery. I was nothing short of astonished when I returned to my apartment to find it completely reconfigured with furniture so artfully placed that the space seemed larger and airier than the original home I had left. I think one of the most impressive features was how a collection of art was rehung to accent the shades of my new walls and the color and texture of my upholstered furniture.
Pamela had suggested "less is best" and by eliminating items that no longer worked and by introducing some charming new accents to pull the rooms together, I am left with a new home that has drawn many very favorable compliments.
I am pleased to recommend Pamela Lloyd-Baker for her interior design and decorating services. My husband and I recently moved to Cape Cod from Connecticut and downsized from a large home to a condominium. Pamela was able to vision and articulate a new look for our contemporary Cape style home using most of the furniture and accessories that we chose to keep. She has a talent for leveraging our personal taste and incorporating new ideas to compliment our colors and style. Pamela is very creative and provided new ideas for coordinating colors, fabrics, furniture, lamps, rugs and accessories to achieve the overall look and feel that we wanted to accomplish.
In addition to her creative talent, Pamela is flexible and easy to work with. She was always on time for our appointments and worked efficiently to make the most use of our time with her. She was very prompt with returning phone calls and following up on her commitments.
I would highly recommend Pamela as a conscientious, reliable, fair, personable and talented woman. It was a pleasure to work with her.
The first time we worked with Pamela we went over the current paint colors for each room in the house. She helped us pick out new ones that create a flow and helps the house feel more like a home. In addition to paint colors we have laid new rugs, curtains, and art that truly complete the space. We have used all of her input and she has never pointed us in a bad direction. We are now re-doing our kitchen and have asked Pamela to help us devise the plan for the cabinets, counter tops, and floor. We created what looks like to be a great plan and I am excited to see the finished product.
